This Shiraz is just outstanding. It is rich, smooth and bursting with flavor. It is very well balanced and the tannins are at the perfect intensity for me. This one is great on it’s own, and would be especially nice shared at the end of a romantic evening. It makes me hungry for a great seared peppered steak topped with a compound butter made with blue cheese. A spicy beef-based soup or stew would also be wonderful on a cold night with this fantastic Shiraz. It is a favorite of ours. |

Jacob’s Creek Reserve Shiraz is a really, really good Shiraz with a great rich flavor. It has some spice but is not overly sweet or fruity. I will definitely buy this wine again and highly recommend it as a great overall Shiraz and an excellent example of an Australian Shiraz. I would pair with steak, spicy food, strong cheeses or heavy cream sauces. |
