2005 Marques de Casa Concha
Vineyard: Concha y Toro
| Label Description: From grapes of our prime Pirque vineyards in the Maipo Valley, this limited production chardonnay has fermented and aged nine months in French oak. With its intense mature tropical fruit aromas and flavours evoking the Pirque terroir, the wood ads generous hints of vanilla and toasted hazelnuts. It is full and intense on the palate while its acidity gives it a very long finish. |

| Sometimes a wine surprises me and I am glad to say this chardonnay surprised me in a good way. I was surprised by its depth of flavor. There are a lot of flavors here, all good, it is a great white wine for pairing with lots of dishes or bringing to your next dinner party where your not sure what wine will go with the food being served. This is a very veratile wine and I plan on keeping several around for my personal stash. -reviewed by Ed |
